Guardtech’s revamped Aftercare teams aiming to elevate their five-star service to new heights

East Anglian contamination control specialists Guardtech are pulling in more cleanroom construction projects than ever before – and they’re building Service and Decontamination provision to match the business’ lofty ambitions

AS GUARDTECH’S client portfolio continues to expand across Life Sciences, Healthcare and High-Tech Engineering sectors, the Group’s Aftercare division is evolving rapidly to meet growing demand for elite controlled environment support services.

And much like Cammi the Cleanroom Chameleon — Guardtech’s colourful mascot representing resilience, adaptability and versatility — the company’s Service and Decontamination Teams are proving themselves experts at evolving alongside the ever-changing needs of modern cleanroom applications.

Driven by increasing demand for preventative planned maintenance (PPM), compliance testing, validation support and specialist deep cleans, Guardtech has significantly strengthened both departments with a series of strategic new appointments designed to propel its Aftercare offering to new heights.

Heading up the expanding Service Team is highly experienced new Service Manager John Merrill, supported by Service Co-ordinator Cassey Evans. Together, the pair are helping streamline and scale Guardtech’s growing service provision for controlled environments across the UK.

Meanwhile, the Decontamination Team — led by experienced Decon Manager Lee Burton and Decon Programme Manager Sarah Mayes — has welcomed three new Decon Technicians into the fold: Alina Siczek, Isabelle McDonald and Jack Burns.

The expanded teams arrive at a pivotal time for Guardtech as the group continues delivering increasingly sophisticated cleanroom projects that require long-term Aftercare support to maintain compliance, performance and operational efficiency.

From HEPA filter integrity testing and airflow balancing to environmental monitoring support, meticulously crafted servicing schedules to specialist deep-clean decontamination programmes, Guardtech’s Aftercare provision has become a vital extension of its “total cleanroom package” philosophy.

Like Cammi the Chameleon adapting seamlessly to new surroundings, Guardtech’s Aftercare teams are built around flexibility and responsiveness — tailoring support packages to suit each client’s exact operational requirements.

The company’s Service Team provides bespoke maintenance programmes designed to maximise uptime and ensure controlled environments continue operating at peak performance, while Guardtech’s Decontamination specialists deliver thorough, high-level cleaning and contamination control services essential for Pharmaceutical, laboratory, Engineering and Healthcare applications.

And according to Merrill, the growth trajectory since he joined Guardtech six months ago has been hugely encouraging.

“The growth I’ve seen in a relatively short space of time has been massively positive,” said Merrill. “The demand for quality Aftercare services is increasing all the time because clients want trusted long-term partners who understand the importance of maintaining compliance and performance standards after project completion.

“What really excites me is the ambition within the business. There’s a genuine drive to become the UK’s number one Aftercare provider for controlled environments — and with the people we now have in place across both Service and Decon, I truly believe we’re building something incredibly strong for the future.”

As Annex 1 regulations continue to shape the Pharmaceutical and cleanroom landscape, robust Aftercare provision has become more critical than ever before.

For Guardtech, investing in specialist personnel and scalable support services is not simply about growth – it’s about ensuring clients receive the resilience, reliability and adaptability needed to thrive in increasingly regulated industries.

“We’re bringing in some really good people,” adds Merrill, “not just in the Aftercare side of the business, but across all the different streams of activity. We’ve got a great blend of experience, knowledge and expertise alongside some bright, dynamic young people looking to make their mark in the industry and it’s helping to reinforce the positive can-do attitude at the heart of Guardtech.”

With Cammi the Cleanroom Chameleon symbolising the power of seamless transformation, Guardtech’s evolving Aftercare division, and indeed the business more broadly, is perfectly positioned to help controlled environments remain clean, compliant and ready for whatever challenges come next.
