Overview

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, adaptable, hard-working candidate who is keen and willing to learn new skills. Guardtech are looking for a dedicated team player who wants to gain the experience to pursue a career in cleanroom validation, testing and servicing.

Working closely alongside the Service Manager, you will undergo ongoing comprehensive and certified training and be given the opportunity to expand your skillset and support Guardtech’s Service and Validation department.

Operating within the Services and Operations team, this is a great opportunity to experience the inner workings of how a successful, growing specialist construction business is run effectively and efficiently. You’ll be challenged every day (in a good way!) among a creative team who set the bar super high in terms of the quality materials we produce and service we provide.

Guardtech’s Servicing department specialise in Commissioning, Validation and Maintenance of Cleanroom room facilities, ensuring clients facilities function optimally and are compliant with industry regulations. At Guardtech we pride ourselves on providing industry leading client focussed services.

Main responsibilities

To perform the following activities

  • Standard Validations
  • Filter integrity Testing
  • Laminar flow booth servicing 
  • Sampling/Dispensing Booth Servicing
  • Decontamination/cleaning will be required at times
  • Assist in Installation Operational Qualification Projects
  • Perform Bio Safety Level inspections on Mobile C-19 Test Labs

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Willing to undertake specialised training for cleanroom validations
  • Working safely and completing H&S documentation including RAMS
  • MS Windows Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in a client facing role
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Full UK/EU passport with no travel restrictions
  • Will require travel and stays away from home

  • Well-developed communication skills and organisational skills.
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Able to work unsupervised (following training).

Guardtech are a rapidly growing, thoughtfully evolving design & build company that produce high-quality, tightly controlled manufacturing facilities (cleanrooms) across the country for the Life Science sector for industries such as Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Automotive & Medical Device.

Guardtech have also recently begun an exciting journey into manufacturing offsite modules that can be shipped to project sites worldwide for rapid installation. The business is doubling in size year on year and is looking for highly dynamic, positive, driven individuals to join our team and share in our incredibly exciting journey.

Key roles & responsibilities

  • Constructing controlled environments, often with modular components, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows and other structural and mechanical components as required for each project site
  • Silicon sealing to an exceptionally high standard at a quick pace
  • Support with construction tasks for Guardtech’s manufactured products such as CleanCube and Isopod
  • On-site translation of technical drawings and design pack into fully assembled, correctly installed technical facilities
  • Good communication with directly employed labour, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Adherence to on-site health & safety and site maintenance
  • Close liaison with Installation Manager to ensure all daily tasks set have been understood and completed in the desired timeframe
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standard and conducting continuous snagging and rectification works
  • This role requires the Installation Engineer to be actively involved in the delivery of the installation – they will be required to be ‘on the tools’ for the entirety of their working day
  • Technical understanding, attention to detail, strong work ethic and a desire to ensure the job is complete are essential for this position
  • Must be willing to stay away overnight for a minimum of four nights per week (all travel and expenses paid)
